“TIMEKEEPER”

The elusive Himalayan Rosehip, 100% wild- crafted, Supercritical Face Oil.

Rosehip oil is rich in linoleic acid (EFA’s)and provitamin A, this nourishes the skin and prevents the effects of photo ageing (including pigmentation and fine lines). Ageing causes the skin’s collagen fibres to fragment, or break down. Essential fatty acids (EFA’s) play a key role in the maintenance and regeneration of the collagen and elastin fibres that keep skin firm and youthful. The essential fatty acids and vitamins in rosehip oil are readily absorbed by the skin and help to slow the breakdown of these fibres. With its neutral pH balance and anti-inflammatory properties, rosehip oil keeps skin balanced and healthy, helping to protect against cell degeneration caused by bacteria and oxidants.

Our Rosehip Oil is natural powerhouse of goodness:

• Linolenic acid
An omega-3 fatty acid that is needed for the structure of cell membranes and helps dry skin conditions by providing essential moisture.

• Linoleic acid- Vitamin F
An omega-6 fatty acid that helps cells to provide a natural barrier to environmental damage.

• Oleic acid
An omega-9 fatty acid that helps to repair tissue damage and improve skin condition.

• Vitamin A (topical trans-retinoic acid)
Naturally occurring vitamin A (in the skin of the fruit) that helps to prevent premature ageing caused by sun exposure. May help to improve the appearance of acne and oily skin, sun damage, wrinkles and pigmentation.

(Clinically Tested).

OUR INGREDIENT

“THE QUEEN”

‘A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet’

The common name of this flowering wild plant is “The Himalayan Musk Rose”. Though it belongs to the rose family it contains only five petals. Rosehip oil is a fruit oil extracted from the hip of this rose. The hip is the fruit that is left after a rose has bloomed and the petals have fallen. This superfine oil is easily absorbed by skin and doesn’t leave behind any oily residue. This quality makes it a dry oil; perfect for day time use.

RasulaTM Wild-Crafted Rosehip oil comes from the wild rosehips of the Himalayas and is a naturally rich source of essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines.

OUR PROCESS

“SUPERCRITICAL”

Supercritical (SC) extractors are state-of-the-art technology in solvent free extractions.

Most Rosehip Oil is made by cold pressing, where the seeds are crushed between rollers, sometimes with the addition of a solvent. Our Rosehip Seed Oil is pure forma (true to form), we use Supercritical (SC) extraction for pure, concentrated, solvent free extractions that also offer longer shelf life. RasulaTM uses the whole fruit, skin and seed of the rosehip to extract rosehip oil. The seed (EFA’s) and skin (Vit A) are a rich powerhouse in many of the essential nutrients that make our rosehip oil so good for the skin and is responsible for giving oil its rich amber- ruby colour. The process is expensive and timely, but ensures that the maximum amount of goodness is captured.

Our extraction process is Certified organic, REACH complaint, Halal and Kosher certified under EU norms.

What Is Vitamin F?

In skincare, vitamin F is used to represent linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that is rich in omega-6 and can help maintain a healthy protective layer of the skin.
A little science for you: Inside the body, omega-6 is used to make ceramide I, which is a key part of a healthy skin barrier. Skin that lacks vitamin F can look dry, dull, scaly and be acne-prone. Studies have found that people with atopic dermatitis generally lack ceramide I. RasulaTM Rosehip oil contains high amounts of this essential Vitamin.

What is Beta Carotene? An Antioxidant.

Beta-carotene is the principle carotenoid (red-orange pigment) found in plants, bacteria, and food. The skin benefits of this powerful carotenoid include potent antioxidant protection, which help to neutralize free radicals present throughout the environment. Beta-carotene present in Rosehip oil has the ability to protect against UVA-light induced damage and can help to reduce levels of oxidative stress and contribute to the overall enhancement of one’s skin appearance.
